The Hunter

The episode starts at Michael’s apartment (studio set) where he receives a message to meet at Cocowalk.
Next, we see Michael go to the meeting. This was filmed at Cocowalk in Coconut Grove. Here we meet Strickler, Agent to the spies.
Then we return to Michael’s apartment. While there Michael talks with Sam on the phone. Sam is at Madeline’s house (studio set).
From there Michael goes to meet a man named Beck in a restaurant. While there Michael and Beck are taken captive but not before Michael gets a quick signal off to Fiona. This was filmed on location at Las Culebrinas Restaurant, 2890 SW 27th Avenue, Miami.
Next Michael and Beck are taken down a dirt road through the woods. Location unknown.
Then we see Fiona at Las Culebrinas restaurant, from which we saw Michael and Beck taken.
Fiona calls Sam who is at Madeline’s house. Then we see Michael and Beck still in the truck. Michael sees an opportunity and exploits it, escaping into the woods and taking Beck with him. Location unknown.
While Beck and Michael run we briefly return to Madeline’s house where Fiona and Sam set out to find Michael.
Michael continues on the run into a mangrove swamp. Location unknown.
Then we see Fiona and Sam track down Tom Strickler on his boat to gain information to help Michael. I guess the rental fee for the boat did not include water for the hot tub because Strickler’s date is sitting in an empty tub. This was filmed behind the Chart House near the studio in Coconut Grove.
Michael and Beck continues deeper into the swamp.
Then we see Fiona and Sam at a waterside Bar. This was filmed at Scotty’s Landing. 3381 Pan American Dr. Coconut Grove next to the Chart House.
Then it cuts back to Michael in the woods where Beck is still not fully cooperating.
Then it cuts back to Scotty’s Landing where we see them putting the bad guy into Fi’s trunk and Sam talks to Madeline on the phone.
Then we return to the woods where Michael starts to turn the tables on his pursuers.
Then we return to Madeline’s house where she breaks the prisoner and finds out the area where Michael might be.

Sam and Fiona arrive to save Michael. Location unknown.
Michael springs his trap and gets the upper hand. He joins up with Fiona and Sam and brings Chechik and his men to Beck’s men who are waiting with a truck back at the launch site. Location unknown.
Then we go to Madeline’s house for a short visit before Michael goes back to Cocowalk to meet Strickler. Michael turns down Strickler’s job offer and the episode ends here.

The Chart House can be seen in the immediate background. The area in the background between Sam and Strickler is where Howard went to meet the kidnapper in episode 30, Question and Answer. The building in the far background is the Grove Towers. I first saw this building on film in Miami Vice, episode 64, By Hooker by Crook where it was used in an establishing shot.
Just over the roof of the Chart House and in the background you can see boats at the Grove key Marina stored on racks. Further in the background next to the Grove Towers can be seen the Yacht Harbour building and the Sonesta Hotel and Suites building. In a couple of cuts you can see the flags flying at the Miami City Hall.
